Now, job listing can be done on Elon Musk’s X microblogging platform. This new feature can be used by only verified organisations and is available in its beta format.
The feature was introduced through a post of the official account of ‘X Hiring’. From the screen shot, which has been shared along with the tweet, the listing is placed as ‘We’re Hiring’, under the company name.
The job listed will be able to lead job hunters to find more about the listing and to apply for the job. These features could be made available to premium users too, for a payment of Rs. 82,300 per month ($1000), reported NDTV.
There were hints on the introduction of this feature in May. As a reply to a user’s suggestion of twitter including dating services as an everything app, Musk is said to have replied, “interesting idea, maybe jobs too”. Musk had earlier talked of twitter becoming an everything app.
A US based media company named ‘WorkWeek’, after using the new feature for a month, shared its insights. “While there is a ton of hype around Zuck copying and pasting another app, Elon”s Twitter is shipping products that make a ton of sense. We just got access to posting jobs on our company page. Considering we”ve hired 20+ people from Twitter, this is a no-brainer,” CEO Adam Ryan said.
The acquisition of the job matching company named Laskie in May is thought to have aided in creating the new feature in X platform, NDTV reported. This feature could become a challenge to job searching websites like LinkedIn, reported the mint.
