Financial Services Institutions Bureau (FSIB) has recommended Bank of Maharashtra Executive Director Asheesh Pandey as the Managing Director (MD) and Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Indian Bank. In notification, the Bureau, constituted in 2022by Central Government for the purpose of recommending persons for appointment as whole-time directors and non-executive chairpersons on the Boards of financial services institutions and for advising on certain other matters relating to personnel management in these institutions, recommended Rana Ashutosh Kumar Singh as the Managing Director in State Bank of India (SBI).
Mr Singh is currently deputy Managing Director in charge of retail banking – personal and real estate at SBI and also a member of Board of Directors at NPCI, NBBL and NIPL.
“Financial Services Institutions Bureau interfaced with 17 candidates on April 23 & 24, 2024 for the forthcoming positions of MD & CEO in PSBs. Keeping in view their performance in the interface, overall experience and the extant parameters, the Bureau recommends Shri Asheesh Pandey for the position of MD & CEO in Indian Bank,” FSIB said in a statement on Indian Bank.
“Financial Services Institutions Bureau interfaced with 16 candidates on April 23 & 24, 2024 for the position of Managing Director (MD) in State Bank of India (SBI). Keeping in view their performance in the interface, overall experience and the extant parameters, the Bureau recommends Shri Rana Ashutosh Kumar Singh for the position of MD in SBI,” another statement said on SBI appointment.
