Rahul Gandhi To Skip Anant Ambani-Radhika Merchant Wedding Reception: Sources
Congress leader and Leader of Opposition (Lok Sabha) will not be attending the reception being held at Mumbai post the wedding of Anant Ambani, son of billionaire businessman Mukesh Ambani. The Gandhi’s were personally invited by Mukesh Ambani for the wedding ceremony, which has attracted the world’s attention as world leaders and A-class celebrities have been in attendance in various functions held in Gujarat, Italy and Mumbai since the pre-wedding celebrations started four months ago. Sources close to Rahul Gandhi has denied the possibility of the Raebareli MP attending event.
As per reports, Prime Minister Narendra Modi will be attending the reception on Sunday evening in Mumbai.

Even after many of his party colleagues and alliance partners including Abhishek Manu Singhvi, Mamata Banerjee, Lalu Prasad Yadav and Aaditya Thackeray attended the wedding ceremony on Saturday, political observers see Rahul Gandhi’s move as to re-establish him as common man’s leader. Mr Gandhi has been a serious critic of crony capitalism practiced by NDA government by promoting certain business houses.

The BJP leader also mocked the INDIA bloc leaders for attending the Anant-Radhika wedding, noting that “after whining endlessly and berating Ambani-Adani, I.N.D.I. Alliance leaders have queued up for the Anant-Radhika wedding, with their entire clan in tow.”
“Incidentally, Balak Buddhi Rahul Gandhi is not seen because he is abroad, like always. His first was LoP. But no one quite knows where he is,” the BJP leader wrote on X.

Notably, the BJP IT cell head had recently took a dig at the opposition leader when he visited the aggrieved Manipur. He called the visit an act of “sick tragedy tourism,” claiming that civilian killing in the state is a Congress legacy.
After several pre-wedding events, the lavish wedding ceremony of Anant Ambani has been underway in Mumbai. The son of Asia’s richest man tied the knot with Radhika Merchant on Friday. The four-day event is the final stop to all the parties, the family has hosted since March. The reception has been attended by noted celebrities, leaders and other dignitaries from across the world.
