Union chief minister Nirmala Sitharaman in her Budget speech on Thursday lauding the economic development achieved by the Modi government said that the economy of the country has got a new vigour.
“The economy got a new vigour and fruits of development reached people at scale,” the union minister said.
Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman began presenting the interim budget at 11 am. The budget presented will delineate the revenues and expenditures till the formation of the new government. With the strong assurance of winning the next term of governance by the NDA alliance, she also claimed that the next five years will be “years of unprecedented development”.
The interim budget will mark the sixth consecutive budget presented by Nirmala Sitharaman. She commenting on the current economic status of the country said that the economy of the country is doing well and inflation is moderate.
She stated that the country within 10 years has witnessed a profound positive transformation in the Indian economy. The finance minister added that with the blessing of the Indian citizens when the BJP government assumed office in 2014, the country was facing enormous challenges with Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikas as its mantra. “The government overcame those challenges in the right earnest,” she added.
