Top 20 Rising Startups In India In 2023, A List By Linkedin

Linkedin has released its 6th annual top startups list which features the top 20 fast growing and attractive young Indian companies. These companies, Linkedin said, has ‘trailblazed their way through recent economic and workplace challenges — and managed to stand out to investors and top talent along the way.’

The list spans startups from different sectors and is, in fact a conversation started by Linkedin, urging its members to join in. As for the methodology adopted by Linkedin in preparing the list, it has stated four pillars, employment growth, engagement, job interest and attraction of top talent. The timeframe that has been adhered to is from July 1, 2022 through June 30, 2023. The Linked in news team has included only companies which are   fully independent, privately held, have 50 or more full-time employees, 5 years or younger and those that are headquartered in the country on whose list they appear. The list starts with Zepto at it the head.

  1. ZEPTO

Founded in 2021, headquartered at Mumbai, with a full-time headcount of 1400 plus

Zepto is a quick commerce company which delivers groceries and essentials across 10 cities in India. The company became India’s first unicorn of 2023, after it raised $200 million in August.

  1. BluSmart

Founded in 2018, headquartered at Gurugram, with a full-time headcount of 620

BluSmart is a company that offers electric ride-hailing services in Delhi NCR and Bengaluru. It has a 4,500-strong electric car fleet and is expanding its fleet to 10,000 cars by the end of this year. It also has plans to invest more in setting up electric chargers across India.

  1. Ditto Insurance

Founded in 2018, headquartered at Bengaluru, with a full-time headcount of 250 plus

It is an insurtech startup that helps people compare plans, understand policies, and buy insurance through its online platform.

Founded in 2018, headquartered at Bengaluru, with a full-time headcount of 480 plus

Pocket FM is an audio series platform, which offers audio entertainment across multiple genres and Indian languages through its 100,000+ hour-strong content library. This company states that they have 80 million listeners on a global scale.

  1. Skyroot Aerospace

Founded in 2018, headquartered at Hyderabad, with a full time headcount of 260

This Hyderabad-based startup – Skyroot Aerospace specialises in futuristic space-launch vehicle design and building. Its maiden mission was Prarambh, with this, the startup in 2022 became the first Indian private company to launch a rocket into space.

This startup, GoKwik offers data and technology-led solutions for eCommerce and D2C brands to improve customer experience across the shopping funnel and boost conversion rates and revenue growth.

This startup, Fi, is a financial app with an in-built savings account that also offers mutual fund investment options and other financial services like personal loans in partnership with regulated entities.

This startup, Sprinto, automates Information Security compliances and privacy laws for software-as-a-service companies and helps monitor entity-level risks and controls.

Supersourcing is a B2B AI-enabled platform for hiring remote engineers and provides pre-vetted developers to medium and small-sized businesses, enterprises, and funded startups.

Founded in2021 , headquartered at Bengaluru, with a full-time headcount of 180

The startup, GrowthSchool partners with instructors to create cohort-based courses on personal and professional growth topics like marketing, design, and business.

Founded in 2021, headquartered at Bengaluru, with a full-time headcount of 180 plus

This startup, Jar, is an automated gold savings app that allows people to save spare change from their online transactions and invest it in digital gold. It aslo offers manual and daily, weekly, or monthly savings options. The app currently has more than 1.5 crore users.

This startup, Shyft, was formerly known as Mindhouse. It is a wellness and life management and tracking platform that offers health, yoga, nutrition, and dermatology programmes.

Founded in 2021, headquartered at Bengaluru, with a full-time headcount of 130 plus

Teachnook is an E-learning platform which offers students curated programmes to help them upskill in topics like Web3, Augmented Reality/Virtual Reality, business development, and performance marketing.

StockGro is a startup which aims to educate young investors about trading and investment. It allows people to build their trading skills in a simulated environment, follow experts and top investors. It also provides investment recommendations and portfolio management solutions.

Exponenet Energy is a startup which is on a mission to simplify energy for electric vehicles (EVs). It offers a 15-minute rapid charging solution for EVs.

Housr is focused exclusively on millennials and working professionals. The startup    provides luxury co-living and accommodation solutions across five Indian cities and more than 75 properties.

AccioJob is run by IIT Delhi alumni. This ed-tech startup AccioJob offers courses around full-stack web development and data analytics.

TravClan is a B2B platform that offers business solutions for travel companies. This includes flight and hotel bookings, travel websites, payment gateways, and marketing material.

The startup, DotPe offers business solutions for omnichannel selling. This includes Point of Sale, e-commerce website, QR, payments, and delivery. It also provides a full stack food tech offering for food and beverage companies.

Fasal is a full-stack platform for horticulture farming. It started with the mission of removing the guesswork from farming. Through its AI-driven platform, the company provides farmers farm-specific, crop-specific, and crop-stage-specific actionable advisory; and also helps them reduce the cost of cultivation and increase quality and yield.
