CBSE Board Result 2024: Government Vs Private Schools Performance

Today, May 13, 2024, the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has announced the Class 10th and 12th board exam results. Trivandrum, Vijaywada, and Chennai regions secured the top positions in both the class 10th and 12th board exam results with the highest pass percentage.

The board released the official data summarising a holistic overview of the exam result by classifying it into different categories such as region-wise pass percentage, gender-wise information, and institution-wise comparative performance.

In CBSE Class 10th board results the Jawahar Navodya Vidyalaya (JNV) and Kendriya Vidayala (KV) secured the highest pass percentage with 99.09% each. The independent schools also performed well by securing an overall 94.54% pass percentage.  However, a stark contrast was observed in the pass percentage of class 10th schools of private and government schools.

The performance of government and government-aided schools remained comparatively lower than the other categories of schools with 86.72% and 83.95% pass percentages respectively. By comparing it with the independent schools a margin of nearly 7-9% is observed in the pass percentage of both the categories of the schools.

Class 12th CBSE Board Result: Government School”s performance

However, in the case of class 12th board exams result 2024, the performance of govenment and government aided schools reamined higher in comparision to the independent schools. Govenment aided and government schools secured an overall 91.42% and 88.23% pass percentage in class X board results, 2024. Whereas independent schools secured an overall pass percentage at 87.70%.

In Class XII board exams, the government schools in Trivandrum performed best withan overall 100% pass percentage followed by Bengaluru and Delhi West with 96.43% and 93.50%. Whereas the highest pass percentage in the private schools was observed in Trivandrum with 99.91% pass percentage followed by Vijayawada and Chennai schools with an overall pass percentage of 98.89% and 98.74% respectively.

The performance of the government and government adided schools in the Delhi East and Delhi West region is 94.39 percent and 98 percent respectively.

The CBSE affiliated govenment and goverment aided school”s performance reamined lowest in  Bhubneswar with 67.66% and 66.01% overall pass percentages.

A remarkable improvement was observed in government school” performance in Noida in comparison to the 2023 result. In 2023 the pass percentage was 61.67 percent which jumps to 95.14 percent this year.
