Class 10 Gurukul School Student Dies By Suicide; Allegedly Harassed Over Informing Corruption
Varshitha, a 10th-class student at Government Gurukul School Vangara, died by suicide recently, after reported harassment by the school principal and vice principal. As per the reports, Varshitha had reported the administration about the existing corruption in school supplies.
Varshitha was a school topper, school captain, and an excellent student. She has also received an award from the district collector recently, for her excellent academic achievements.
After she came back to her hostel from Diwali vacation, Varshitha immediately called her parents to come take her as the principal and vice principal were harassing her. Varshitha has reported the school administration for pilfering school supplies.

Barely an hour after talking with her parents, Varshitha died by suicide in the hostel. People are even raising issues that how she was mistreated even after her death when the school could not arrange an ambulance and sent her body via a tractor.
Hyderabad, BRS working President, and Telangana minister KTR expressed grief over the suicide of the 10th-grade student and criticised the Congress government for not taking accountability for the incident. As per the minister, over 100 students have died in the Gurukul schools in the past two years, and expressed concern about the lack of the ruling government’s interest in the issue.
