CUET-UG Paper Cancelled At A Centre In Kanpur Amid Irregularities, NTA Assures To Reschedule It

Yet another case of examination- irregularity has emerged in a national-level entrance test after the alleged paper leak cases in medical entrance exam, NEET. The CUET-UG exam conducted by the National Testing Agency (NTA) which was scheduled on May 16, 2024, was canceled at an exam center in Kanpur, UP.
In Maharana Pratap College, Bithur, Kanpur, the CUET-UG exam was canceled after the question papers for English medium and Hindi medium students were misplaced. Agitated students confronted the authorities as they were concerned regarding the alleged paper leak information and the future of their exam.

However, Deputy Police Commissioner Vijay Dhul said that the paper cancellation happened only due to the exchange of English and Hindi medium copies. No other irregularity concerning the paper leak has been found. While talking to the media,  assured the students that authorities are concerned about their future and that the paper will be conducted again.

The information regarding the examination schedule and timing will be notified by the NTA and concerned authorities, he said.  The NTA has said to look into the irregularity and will inform students about the reexamination, the DCP added.
On Wednesday, NTA also rescheduled the examination test papers (Chemistry – 306, Biology – 304, English – 101, and General Test -501) which were earlier scheduled on 15 May 2024 at Delhi centers. According to the NTA, these exams will be held on May 29 now. The Agency has also said the revised hall tickets will be issued for candidates appearing in center across Delhi.
However, the National Testing Agency (NTA) has not issued any updates concerning the recent irregularity in the CUET-UG 2024 exam.
