Delhi: Class 12 Muslim Students Wearing Skullcaps Attacked By Hindutva Group
Two students, Mohammad Faizan and his friend, were allegedly attacked in the Mustafabad area of Northeast Delhi, after giving the board exam from their all-boys school in Tukhmirpur. As per Faizan, the boys were returning from school when a group of Hindutva men approached them from behind.
Faizan, who was wearing a skullcap after offering afternoon prayers, after his exam was singled out by the group after his exam was over.
The group reportedly stopped the students, asked their names, identified and separated the Hindu students, and then chased them away. Following this, the two Muslim students named Faizan were detained and allegedly beaten brutally using sticks, punches, screwdrivers, and many other objects they could ley hands on. Both boys sustained serious injuries during the attack.
Mohammad Faizan was reportedly struck with such force that his head was slammed into the nearby parked truck, causing him to lose consciousness on the spot.
The Hindu friends who were chased away returned to the spot after some time and informed the police. The police took the boys to a nearby hospital, where thy were subsequently referred to GTB Hospital for further treatment.
Faizan’s mother later stated that his injuries were so severe that the nose bleeding was not stoped even he was brough home from the hospital.
