Edited by Aishwarya Krishnan

Amidst the concerns following bomb threats at multiple schools in Delhi and the NCR region, the Delhi Police has confirmed that thorough checks had been conducted in accordance with established protocols and no substantive threats had been identified.

The tweet, issued in response to the panic triggered by the bomb threats, urged the public not to panic and to maintain peace.

Delhi Police PRO Suman Nalwa reaffirmed the same. She said that the police have conducted search operations, but nothing suspicious or untoward has been found. Stating that the email threats were sent by someone to create panic, Nalwa requested that parents not panic as the investigation is ongoing.

This comes in the wake of several schools, including prominent institutions like Sanskrit School in Chanakyapuri, Mother Mary School in Mayur Vihar, and Delhi Public School (DPS) in Dwarka, receiving alarming emails indicating potential security threats. Delhi Police officials confirmed that around 60 schools have been evacuated.

The Home Ministry also confirmed that the threats received are hoaxes and that there is no need to panic.

Following the threats, the Delhi Police received over 100 calls regarding the bomb threats. Bomb detection teams. bomb disposal squad, and Delhi Fire Service officials rushed to the schools for inspection soon after; however, nothing substantial has been found.
