The Indian Institute of Technology, Bombay, will declare the result of the Common Entrance Exam for Design (CEED 2024) on March 6, 2024. Candidates can visit the official website – ceed.iitb.ac.in to check their results.
Scorecards will also be available from March 11, 2024, and can be downloaded from the Candidate portal. The scorecard remains valid for one year from the date of declaration of the result. Students after qualifying for CEED can apply to several universities for MDes and PhD programs in design.
Notably, CEED 2024 offered the online application procedure last in October and the common entrance examination was conducted on January 21. On January 23, IITB released the draft answer key for Part A and released the final answer key on February 1, 2024.
The CEED 2024 examination consisted of two parts, Part A and Part B. Candidates had to attempt questions from both parts. The final CEED score is calculated by giving 25% weightage to marks obtained in Part-A and 75% weightage to marks obtained in Part-B, after the above calculation.
Part A contains objective questions of three different types including, Numerical Answer Type (NAT), Multiple Choice Question (MCQ), and Multiple Select Question (MSQ). Answers to Part A have to be given on the computer. This part is designed to check and evaluate visual and spatial ability, environmental and social awareness, analytical and logical reasoning, language, observation, and design sensitivity of the candidates. Part B consists of five questions aimed to test the design, drawing, and writing skills of the candidates.
To be eligible for the exam candidates must have completed a degree/diploma/postgraduate degree program of a minimum 3 years after completing the 10+2 level, or must be appearing or must have passed the GD Arts diploma program (10+5 level) by July 2024.
