KEA Releases KCET 2024 Provisional Answer Key, Objection Are Invited Till May 7th

This year Karnataka Undergraduate Common Entrance Test (KCET) 2024, has been surrounded by students objecting to the out-of-syllabus questions. Amid this controversy, the Karnataka Examination Authority (KEA) has released the provisional answer key for the KCET 2024. The exam authority has invited objections to the answer keys till May 7, 2024.

The provision answer keys for Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, and Biology are available on the KEA website – kea.kar.nic.in. However, these answer keys are not final and the finalization will be done after considering all the objections raised by the students. The final answer key will be prepared by a committee of subject experts.

Students can submit objections via the KEA official website in the form of PDF format and specify the subject, version code, and question number. As per the official information, the submission without following the proper format and justification will not be entertained.

Notably, after the issue of out-of-syllabus questions was raised by the students, the KEA following the Department of Higher Education’s instructions exempted a total of 50 questions. These 50 questions that were deemed to be out of the syllabus include 11 questions in the biology section, 9 in physics, and 15 each in mathematics and chemistry. The exempted questions will be marked with an ‘X’ in the final answer key.

The common entrance test was held on April 18 and April 19. The KCET makes candidates eligible to pursue Undergraduate professional courses in Engineering, Agriculture, Farm Science, or Veterinary courses in the state.
