Karnataka CET 2024 Registration Window Reopens, This Sees The Third Deadline Extension

Considering the requests from students, parents, and the student community regarding the re-opening of the application window, today, the Karnataka Examinations Authority (KEA) has opened the Karnataka Common Entrance Test (KCET) 2024 registration window once again. Those who could not apply for the test can register till March 15, 2024. Interested candidates can visit the official website – cetonline.karnataka.gov.in/kea to apply. The application fee has to be submitted by March 16 by 5:30 PM.

This provides an opportunity to appear for the engineering, veterinary, naturopathy, yoga, B Pharma, Pharma D, farm science courses, and BSc nursing profession courses among others. The exam for the different courses is set to commence on April 18 and April 19, 2024. The examination will be conducted in an offline mode all across the state.

The exam includes a total of 60 questions from different subjects including Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, and Biology and the exam duration is 80 minutes. Each question carries 1 mark and there is no negative marking.

The application fee for General and OBC candidates is Rs 500 and for SC/ST/Female candidates is Rs 250. Rs 750 is the fee for out of Karnataka Students and Rs 5,000 for candidates from abroad.

KEA started the registration process of Karnataka UGCET 2024 on January 10 and the last date was February 10, 2024. However, due to some technical reasons, the application window remained closed till January 18, and the last date was extended to February 23.

Stepwise Procedure to apply

Step 1: Visit the official KCET website – cetonline.karnataka.gov.in

Step 2: Click on the Registration 2024 link

Step 3: Complete the application process providing the essential academic and personal information

Step 4:  Payment of Fee

Step 5:  Submit the application form and save a soft/hard copy of the form for future reference

Candidates are advised to visit the official website regularly for future information.

Notably, National Testing Agency (NTA) has also issued a notification inviting online application forms for the Common University Entrance Test  [CUET (UG) – 2024] at national level. The online application window (only mode) is open from February 27 to March 26 (till 11:50 PM) and the correction window will remain open from March 28 to March 29, 2024.
