NTA Releases Admit Cards For SHRESHTA-NETS 2024

The National Testing Agency (NTA) has released admit cards for the National Entrance Test for the Scheme for Residential Education for Students in High Schools in Targeted Areas (SHRESHTA-NETS)-2024. The candidates can download their admit cards from the NTA official website –  exams.nta.ac.in/SHRESHTA using their application number and Date of Birth (DOB).

Notably, the SHRESHTA-NETS-2024, exam will be conducted on May 11, 2024, in a pen & paper mode (offline) from 2 PM to 5 PM.

The SHRESHTA (Residential Education for Students in High Schools in Targeted Areas) provides seats to the meritorious SC boys and girls in the best private residential schools in the country. Only those SC students whose parental income is up to Rs 2.5 lacks are eligible for the scheme. Reportedly every year, it is expected that nearly 3000 students would be selected for admission in Class 9 and Class 11 under the scheme.

SHRESHTA-NETS 2024: Exam pattern

The exam duration will be 3 hours and the question paper will carry 100 Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs). The question paper comprised different sections on subjects including mathematics (30), science (20), social science (25), and general awareness/knowledge (25). Each question carries 4 marks and the total marks are 400. There will be no negative marking for the wrong answers.

The question paper will be bilingual in English and Hindi language.

The paper will be based on the NCERT syllabus of class 8th for admission in Class 9th and 10th for admission in class 11th.
