The National Testing Agency is expected to announce the Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) Main 2025 exam date soon. Candidates can check the official website – jeemain.nta.ac.in for the information. Based on the previous year’s trends, the exam will be held in two sessions.
JEE Main exam is a national-level engineering entrance exam conducted by NTA. For the past two years, the exam has been held twice a year, in January and April. Candidates who have cleared or appearing for the class 12 exam with Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics (PCM) become eligible to sit for the JEE Main exam.
Recently, the NTA announced the discontinuation of the optional selection of questions in the JEE Main exam, which was introduced during the Covid-19. Now, Section B of the paper will contain only five questions instead of 10 and students will need to attempt all five questions without any options. This change will apply to the BTech, B.E, and BArch and B.Plan paper 2.
To register for the JEE Main exam, candidates will have to create a profile on the NTA JEE Main official website by using Digi locker account through the NAD portal, Academic Bank of Credits ID (ABC ID) through the ABC ID, Indian passport number, non- Indian passport number, PAN card number, or Aadhaar enrollment number.
JEE Main question paper consist of two papers – paper 1 is for admission into BE, BTech at NITs, IIITs, CFTIs and other universities, and paper 2 is held for admission to BArch and Bplanning courses.
