Teacher, Whose Photoshoot With Student Went Viral Suspended

The head teacher of Murugamalla Village Government High School in Karnataka, Pushpalatha R, has been suspended after photos of her engaging in kissing and hugging a Class 10 student during a study tour in Chikkaballapur went viral on social media. The images also depict the teacher lifting the student, sparking criticism from users on various platforms, including X.

Images and videos capturing a romantic photoshoot between the teacher and the student was circulated widely all day today on social media. In response to the incident, the student”s parents reportedly filed a complaint with the Block Education Officer (BEO) urging a comprehensive investigation into the teacher”s conduct.

Upon receiving the complaint, according to reports, BEO V Umadevi conducted an inquiry at the school, resulting in the suspension of the teacher. The Deputy Director of Chikkaballapur District Education Department took action based on the BEO”s report.

The head teacher, Pushpalatha R, was suspended by Deputy Director of Public Instruction (DDPI) Bailanjinappa. Subsequently, school authorities questioned Pushpalatha R about the photoshoot, to which she described the relationship as a “mother-son” bond. Both the student and the teacher asserted that the photos, intended to be private, were leaked, causing parental outrage.
