The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) is expected to release the application notification for the Civil Services (Preliminary) examination 2025 today, January 22. Candidates who wish to appear in the exam can visit the official website, upsc.gov.in, for detailed information. The deadline to fill out the application form is February 11, 2025.

The Civil Services (Preliminary) Examination will comprise two papers with objective type or multiple choice questions.

As per the 2024 CSE notification, the application fee was Rs 100 and female candidates, SC/ST, and Persons with Benchmark Disabilities are exempted from the fee. The payment mode includes cash at any State Bank of India branch, Net Banking, or using Visa/Master/RuPay Credit/Debit Cards or UPI Payment.

The UPSC Civil Services Personality Test 2024 interviews are being conducted. Recently, UPSC has shifted the personality test scheduled to be held on February 5 to February 8, 2025, amid the Delhi Assembly Elections.

Recently, some candidates petitioned in the Supreme Court regarding answer keys, cut off marks release and other related matters and the court has decided to take assistance of Amicus Curie.
