Madhya Pradesh, Rajasthan, Telengana, Chhattisgarh, and Mizoram have witnessed massive rallies and roadshows over the assembly election campaigns, as many star campaigners actively campaigned to plough the ideological viewpoints of these states, and Home Minister Amit Shah was one of them.
In Madhya Pradesh, where anti-incumbency traces were visible, Amit Shah spent three days in order to revitalize their cadres. The talks with rebel candidates by Amit Shah prompted them to withdraw their candidature. Moreover, Amit Shah also exhorted the party cadres to give their best in order to ensure the mistakes committed in Karnataka will not be repeated in Madhya Pradesh.
He also taught the leaders how to handle the tough seats and reminded them of the significance of emphasizing the achievements of the Modi government.
In Rajasthan, Amit Shah helmed mega roadshows on the final days of campaigns. During his speech, Shah tried to tarnish the Congress government, saying the public is “very upset” with them.
“In the last five years, the Congress has worked with the policy of appeasement and corruption. The people of Rajasthan are very upset with this,” the Union home minister said.
“In the last five years, if anyone”s condition has been the worst in Rajasthan, it has been that of women and Dalits. The politics of appeasement are at their peak under the Gehlot government. The Rajasthan government has not taken any action against rioters due to vote-bank politics,” Shah said.
In Telangana, Amit Shah was trying to play the Hindutwa card, accusing the Telangana government of shielding some of the rioters, according to reports. He also said that Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS)-led Telangana is the only state that provides reservations for minority groups, which will be stopped if the BJP assumes power.
The election campaign in Chhattisgarh is akin to that in Telangana, where Amit Shah featured Chhattisgarh as a love jihad hub. After the campaigns, Shah also expressed his optimism, saying, “I think the BJP is on a strong footing in all three states, and we will win all three; margins can vary.”
According to Shah, people still remember the misgovernance and corruption perpetrated by the Congress when they assumed office before 2014. He believes people can gauge the difference made by the BJP government thereafter.
Amit Shah earned a reputation after leading the BJP to victory in the 2014 and 2018 general elections. The media hailed his strategies as Chanakya Tantras. Amit Shah is known for his mixed recitation of events, which he uses adequately. However, whether the strategies of Amit Shah work this time or not, we will get the answers only on December 3 when the election results are announced.
