Rajesh Joon, independent candidate has won from the Bahadurgarh assembly constituency in the 2024 assembly election. He had secured 73,191 votes by defeating BJP’s Dinesh Kaushik with a significant margin of 41,999 votes.
As per the election commission data, Kaushik had secured 31,192 votes, while Congress candidate Rajinder Singh managed to secure 28,955 votes.
The Bahadurgarh constituency in the district of Jhajjar was one of the 90 seats that went to polls in Haryana this year. The vote percentage turnout in the constituency was 64.2%.
A total of 14 candidates were in the fray for the Bahadurgarh assembly seat in the 2024 assembly elections. Dinesh Kaushik of BJP, Kuldeep Singh Chhikara of AAP and Rajinder Singh of Joon of Congress are the major candidates from the constituency.
Congress candidate Rajinder Singh Joon won the Bahadurgarh constituency in the 2019 elections, with a margin of 15491 votes.
During the 2019 Haryana Assembly election, BJP emerged victorious, bagging 40 of the 90 seats. The BJP formed the government in coalition with Dushyant Chautala-led JJP, which managed to win 10 seats. Meanwhile, the Congress party received 31 seats and the remaining were taken by INLD, Haryana Lokhit Party and independent candidate.
