BJP candidate Ravinder Indraj Singh has won the Bawana assembly seat with over 1,19,515 votes while AAP’s incumbent MLA Jai Bhagwan secured 88,040 votes. Singh secured the victory with a margin of 31,475 votes.
Congress’ Surender Kumar secured 1,435 votes.

In the 2020 Delhi Assembly elections, AAP’s Jai Bhagwan won the seat defeating BJP’s Ravinder Kumar by a margin of 11,526. AAP had a vote share of 48.38 percent in 2020 in this seat.
The candidates in fray from the Bawana constituency were AAP’s Jai Bhagwan Upkar, BJP’s Ravinder Indraj Singh and Congress candidate Surender Kumar.
In the 2020 Assembly polls, AAP secured a massive victory, winning 62 out of 70 seats, while BJP won 8 seats. The Congress failed to secure any seats in the election.

In the single-phase election held on February 5, a total voter turnout of 60.44 percent was recorded across 70 assembly constituencies.
A total of 699 candidates, including 96 women, were in the fray. AAP and Congress fielded 70 candidates each and the BJP 68 candidates, while two seats were being contested by its allies Janata Dal (United) and Lok Janshakti Party (Ram Vilas).
