Delhi election results: Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP)’s Parduymn Singh Rajput is leading in the Dwarka assembly constituency with a margin of 455 votes as per the updates published by the Election Commission of India on its official website. As per the latest leads reports from various media houses, BJP is leading in over 40 seats out of the total 70 seats in the Delhi Assembly.
In Dwarka, Aam Aadmi Party (AAP)’s Vinay Mishra and Indian National Congress’ Adarsh Shastri are in second and third places respectively as per the early leads.
The results for the 2025 Delhi Assembly elections will be announced on Saturday, February 8, determining whether the AAP can secure a fourth consecutive term or if the BJP will reclaim power after 27 years. The Congress, once dominant in Delhi politics, is also attempting a comeback but is expected to remain a minor player.
The counting of votes commenced at 7 am, with initial trends emerging by 8 am. The final results are expected by 6 pm, with real-time updates available on the Election Commission’s official websites.
A victory for AAP would reaffirm Arvind Kejriwal’s leadership and solidify the party’s national ambitions. A loss, however, could weaken its influence beyond Delhi, particularly in Punjab and Gujarat.
