BJP candidate Kapil Mishra is leading from Karawal Nagar constituency with a vote margin of 41,116 votes. He had secured 1,06,081 votes. Manoj Kumar, AAP candidate came in second by securing 64,965 votes. Congress’s Dr PK Mishra fall far behind with 3,062 votes.
Karawal Nagar legislative assembly along with other 70 constituencies went to poll on February 5. Key candidates contesting from the constituency including Manoj Tyogi from Aam Aadmi Party, Kapil Mishra from the Bharatiya Janata Party, and PK Mishra from the Indian National Congress. The Karawal Nagar constituency is a key constituency in India’s capital and is known for its diverse electorate and crucial role in Delhi’s governance.

In the 2020 assembly election, BJP’s Mohan Singh Bisht won the seat with 96,721 votes while AAP’s Durgesh Pathak received 88,498 votes. And Congress’s Arbind secured 2,242 votes.
The Congress party had won three consecutive terms from 1998 to 2013. While, the saffron party was only able to win once. After ending the Congress rule in 2013, the Arvind Kejriwal led AAP formed the government in the national capital and further it had completed its second consecutive term (2015 to 2025). The national capital had recorded a voter turnout of 57.70 per cent till 5 pm in the single phase of assembly elections.
Delhi has an electorate of 1.5 crore, with 83.49 lakh male voters and 71.73 lakh female voters. Meanwhile, third gender voters are 1,261 as per the Chief Electoral Officer (CEO) of Delhi.
