Delhi election results: Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP)’s Pawan Sharma is leading in the Uttam Nagar assembly constituency with a margin of 6,371 votes as per the updates published by the Election Commission of India on its official website. As per the latest lead reports from various media houses, BJP is leading in over 40 seats out of the total 70 seats in the Delhi Assembly.

In Uttam Nagar, Aam Aadmi Party (AAP)’s Posh Balyan and Indian National Congress’ Mukesh Sharma are in second and third places respectively as per the early leads.

Uttam Nagar has seen the constituency shifting its political allegiance since its formation in 2008 with BJP, Congress and AAP.

In 2008, Congress’ Mukesh Sharma won the Uttam Nagar while in 2013, Pawan Sharma of Bharatiya Janata Party wrested the constituency. Then, in 2015 and 2020, Naresh Balyan of Aam Aadmi Party won from Uttam Nagar in two elections consecutively.

The counting of votes commenced at 7 am, with initial trends emerging by 8 am. The final results are expected by 6 pm, with real-time updates available on the Election Commission’s official websites.

Uttam Nagar Assembly constituency is one of Delhi’s 70 Legislative Assembly segments. It was formed in 2008 following the Delimitation Commission’s recommendations. Part of the West Delhi Lok Sabha constituency, it shares boundaries with nine other Assembly segments, including Rajouri Garden, Janakpuri, Vikaspuri, Dwarka, and Najafgarh.
