Corrupt KCR Family Kept Money Minting Ministries: Rahul Gandhi

Nizamabad (Telangana): Lashing out at Telangana chief minister K Chandrasekhar Rao and his family, senior Congress leader Rahul Gandhi today said that KCR had kept all the “money minting ministries” within his family. He also said, after defeating KCR in Telangana, Congress party will defeat and remove Modi from Delhi.

Addressing a massive public rally here today, he also told KCR in reply to his question as to what the Congress had done, that the state he was Chief Minister of was made by the Congress party only. Besides, he added, the schools and universities KCR has studied in to become the Chief Minister were also made by the Congress party.

Accusing KCR and his family of massive corruption, he pointed out how Rs one lakh crores was stolen from the people of Telangana state in Kaleshwaram project. He said, the pillars in the dam have already started developing cracks. He said KCR had stolen the money of the people of Telangana.

The Congress leader also criticised KCR for taking away the land of about 20 lakh people that had been given to them by the Congress. He said the land was taken on the pretext of computerisation and setting up of the ‘Dharni’ portal only to cheat them.

Alleging that there was a clear mutual understanding between KCR and Modi, he pointed out, he was facing 24 cases, but there was not a single case against KCR now. He said, there was no ED or CBI after KCR, while pointing out how much Modi supported him. He said, KCR wants Modi to rule in Delhi and Modi in turn wants KCR to rule in Telangana. But, he expressed confidence that the Congress will defeat KCR in Telangana and later Modi in Delhi.

Rahul Gandhi announced several guarantees for the people of Telangana, which he said will be fulfilled in the very first cabinet meeting of the government.

The guarantees include Rs 2,500 per month in cash for women, besides gas cylinder for Rs 500 and free bus travel. He said, this way the women can earn and save about Rs 5,000 a month. Giving details, he pointed out, while they will get Rs 2,500 in cash in their bank accounts, they will save Rs 700 every month on gas cylinders and about Rs 2,000 on bus travel which makes it to about Rs 5,000 every month.

For the farmers, he announced Rs 15,000 per acre per annum compensation, Rs 12,000 per annum for agricultural labourers and round the clock power. Every household will get 200 units of free electricity. He announced Rs 4,000 monthly pension for the elderly, widows and the handicapped.

Besides, Rahul Gandhi promised, housing subsidy of Rs five lakhs for the homeless and Vidya Bharosa card for students through which they can get up to Rs five lakhs for their educational expenses.
