"He Is A Pappu": BRS Leader KTR Rao About Rahul Gandhi

K. T. Ram Rao, working president of BRS (Bharat Rashtra Samithi) on Saturday called Congress leader Rahul Gandhi, “a Pappu”. During his visit to Nizamabad district of Telangana which is going to poll on November 30, the BRS leader took a jab at Rahul Gandhi and said that, the Congress leader does not know history and should apologise for forcibly tying Telangana and Andhra Pradesh from 1956 to 2014 before asking for votes.

While talking to ANI, Mr. Rao said, “Rahul Gandhi does not know the history of Telangana, he is a Pappu. The place where Rahul Gandhi had come today, was the same Nizamabad where Rahul Gandhi’s great grandfather Nehru ji had forced marriage between Andhra and Telangana”.

He further added that he feels sorry about the amount of knowledge the Congress leader have about the history of Telangana and added that if Rahul Gandhi was to talk about corruption, the people of Telangana would laugh “because the Congress party itself is immersed in corruption”.

Telangana was formed out of Andhra Pradesh on June 2, 2014, after a long debate that started in 1952, and K Chandrasekhar Rao (KCR) became the first Chief Minister of the state.

Earlier today, Rahul Gandhi visited Nizamabad and called KCR and his family “corrupt”. He said that most money making ministries are in the hands of KCR family. He said, “most of the money is made on land, liquor and sand, and all of them are under the control of KCR and his family members”, as quoted by ANI.

Rahul Gandhi cited the example of the alleged corruption in the Dalit Bandhu scheme and remarked that, “your MLAs take cut of 3 lakh under the Dalit Bandhu scheme. You are diverting money from the SC/ST sub-plan”.

Telangana will go for polls on November 30. The BJP, BRS and Congress are the main contestant of the state this time.
