J&K Assembly Election Results 2024: Ali Mohammad Dar, NC Candidate Wins In Chadoora Constituency

Ali Mohammad Dar, a Jammu and Kashmir National Conference candidate, has won the elections against the JK People Democratic Party candidate Mohmad Yaseen Bhat with 17218 votes. The Chadoora Assembly constituency is located in the Budgam district of Jammu and Kashmir. It is one of the 90 constituencies of the Jammu and Kashmir Legislative Assembly.

Candidates contesting for the J&K assembly elections include: Mohmad Yaseen Bhat (JKPDP), Ali Mohammad Dar (JKNC), Syed Fahed Andrabi (JAKAP), Mohd Abass Kant (NATLP), Nilofar Sajjad Gandru (Independent), Faisal Fayaz (Independent)

The Chadoora constituency is a general category seat. The JK PDP and JKN remained the major political parties of the constituency. Javaid Mustafa Mir of JKPDP won the seat with a margin of 1,693 votes by defeating Ali Mohammad Dar of JKN. In the 2008 elections also Javaid Mustafa Mir won the elections.

Voting in Jammu and Kashmir took place in 3 phases from September 18, September 25 and October 1. Chadoora constituency voted in the second phase on September 25.

In last 2014 assembly elections the total vote share of Chadoora was 63.41% and the leading candidate secured 48.26% of votes.
