Krishan Lal Middha won for the second consecutive time in the Jind constituency of assembly election 2024. He won the election with a total of 68,920 votes.
As per the election commission result, the BJP candidate won with a margin of 15,680 votes. Whereas his rival Mahavir Gupta of the Congress party bagged 53,060 votes.
A range of major political parties, including the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), Congress, and others, have put forth their candidates for the elections in Jind. Apart from the above two, candidates contesting from this constituency include Wazir Dhanda from the AAP, Dharam Pal Tanwar from the JJP, and Narender Nath Sharma from the INLD. As each candidate brought unique perspectives and agendas, this election became highly competitive.
In the 2019 Assembly elections, Dr. Krishan Lal Middha from the BJP emerged victorious, securing 58,370 votes. He defeated Mahavir Gupta from the JJP, who garnered 45,862 votes, which demonstrated the BJP’s stronghold in the Jind constituency.
