Rajasthan Assembly Elections Result: Congress' Govind Singh Dotasra Wins Lachhmangarh Constituency

Congress candidate and state chief of the party Govind Singh Dotasra defeated Subhash Maharia (BJP) in Lachhmangarh assembly constituency of Rajasthan. Govind Singh polled 1,13,304 votes while, Subhash Maharia came second with 94,334 votes. CPM candidate who came third has garnered 1,875 votes.

The Rajasthan State recorded a voter turnout of 75.45%, in the assembly elections held across 199 of 200 assembly constituencies on November 25. The election for the remaining 1 seat has been adjourned. Lachhmangarh assembly constituency in Rajasthan is comes under Sikar district.

In 2003 assembly elections, Bharatiya Janata Party candidate Kesar Dev had defeated Congress’ Parasram Mordia. Kesar Dev was voted 63,928 votes and Parasram was voted 52,557 votes. Parasram lost by 11,371 votes. The constituency had total 1,80,056 electors.

In 2013 assembly elections, INC candidate Govind Singh Dotasara had defeated Subhash Maharia (BJP). Govind Singh was voted 55,730 votes and Subhash Maharia was voted 45,007 votes. Independent candidate Dinesh Joshi came third with 43,199 votes then. The constituency had 1,62,513 voters and 13 candidates.

In 2018, Again Govind Singh Dotasara (INC) won with 98,227 votes. Dinesh Joshi (BJP) stood second with 76,175 votes. This time, CPM candidate Brijendra Singh came third with 8617 votes. The total electors were 2,55,422 in 2018.

Overall out of the total 199 seats, Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has won 115 seats and Indian National Congress is in second with 69 seats. BAP is currently at the third position in the total seat share. Along with Rajasthan, the Assembly elections were held in four other states including Madhya Pradesh, Telangana, Chhattisgarh and Mizoram. The results of these four states have also been announced.
