Dr. Subhash Garg of the Rashtriya Lok Dal (RLD) won the Bharatpur constituency, defeating Bharatiya Janata Party candidate Revanth Vijay Bansal. While Subhash Garg got 81,878 votes, Vijay Bansal received 76,491 votes. The winning margin for the RLD candidate is 5387 votes. Bharatpur witnessed a tough fight between the BJP and the RLD. BSP candidate Girish Chaudhary garnered 24858 votes.
The elections to the Rajasthan State Assembly were held on November 25, 2023, for 199 seats. In the 2018 Assembly elections, Dr. Subhash Garg won the same constituency by defeating the BJP”s Vijay Bansal (Pappu Banda).
Subhash received 52869 votes, and Vijay got 37159 votes in 2018. BVHP”s Girdhari Tiwari received 35407 votes in that election. The constituency had 255603 voters during the 2018 election. Out of the total 199 seats in the desert state, the BJP won 115 seats and the INC got 69 seats. Independent candidates secured victory in eight seats. Along with Rajasthan, the assembly elections were held in four other states, including Madhya Pradesh, Telengana, Chhattisgarh, and Mizoram. The results for the three states were announced on December 3, except for Mizoram.
