In the Sinnar assembly constituency of Maharashtra, Adv.Kokate Manikarao Shivaji of the Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) won the election for the second consecutive time.
The NCP candidate Adv.Manikarao has bagged a total of 1,38,565 votes and won the election with a margin of 40,884 votes. Whereas his rival, Uday Punjabi Sangale of the NCP-SP secured 97,681 votes.
In the 2019 assembly election Manikrao of NCP won the election by securing a total of 97,011 votes. Whereas, the Shiv Sena candidate Rajabhau Waje bagged 94,939 votes.
In the 2014 Maharashtra Assembly elections, Rajabhau (Parag) Prakash Waje of SS won in this seat defeating Kokate Manikrao Shivaji of BJP by a margin of 20,554 which was 10.45% of the total votes cast for the seat. SS had a vote share of 52.87% in 2014 in this seat.
According to data released by the Election Commission of India, in the 2024 Maharashtra Assembly elections, the estimated voter turnout in this Maharashtra constituency was 73.85%. In 2019, this seat registered a turnout of 65.85%, while it was 71.52% in 2014 and 63.96% in 2009. The estimated turnout in 2024 was -8.00% compared to the 2019 turnout.
