Jharkhand: Doubling down on his attack against the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), Jharkhand Chief Minister Hemant Soren said that the saffron party is spreading ‘bauddhik zeher’ or ‘intellectual poison’ in the state. “But this won’t work here,” he added.
Soren had recently launched a scathing attack against the BJP, stating that they spent billions of rupees to spread “hatred, violence, social animosity, and lies” against him.

“Agar himmat hai toh saamne se lado—kaayar ki tarah lagatar peeche se vaar kyu? (If you have courage, then fight from the front—why keep attacking from behind?)” Soren said on social media post on X.
Taking a dig at the “double engine” rhetoric of the BJP, the Chief Minister said that the BJP-led state government had closed down schools, cancelled ration cards, and failed to conduct the Jharkhand Public Service Commission (JPSC) exam during its term.

कभी ED, कभी CBI, कभी कोई एजेंसी – कभी कोई और।
अब अरबों रुपये खर्च कर दिए मेरी छवि बिगाड़ने में।

His post came in response to a report by a group of civil-society bodies that found that nearly Rs 2.25 crore was spent by advertisers on political promotions on the Meta-owned Facebook and Instagram, targeting people in the state leading up to the Jharkhand assembly election. Out of the stated amount, 36 percent of it was spent on advertising by third-party “shadow accounts” that promoted the BJP and included communally divisive messages.
The posts also included showing Muslim men as rapists and criminals and depicting Soren with horns and as an insect.
