Jharkhand chief minister Hemant Soren on Thursday compared the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) to “rats,” alleging that the outfit is invading state like the ‘rats’ and destroying it. The chief minister accused the BJP and its ideological wing RSS of disrupting communal harmony for political gain and vote bank.
Retorting to Jharkhand Mukti Morcha (JJM) leader’s remark, the BJP leader and Jharkhand assembly opposition leader Amar Kumar Bauri said that the RSS is not rats but Hindu lions, and alleged that the chief minister is patronising Bangaldeshi infiltrators. The opposition leader said that that the RSS is working to restore the glory of Sanatan Dharma.

Speaking to PTI, Bauri said, “Hemant Soren compared RSS with rats. This is an insult to the ‘Hindu lions’ who are working to restore the glory of Sanatan dharma. Soren is working in the pattern of George Soros. For petty political gains, he (Soren) is patronising Bangladeshi infiltrators.”
The BJP has been accusing Soros, the Hungarian-born US billionaire of trying to intervene in Indian politics. Former Union Minister Smriti Irani had earlier accused Rahul Gandhi of having connections with the billionaire. BJP MP Ravi Shankar Prasad had also alleged that Soros is a major investor in Hindenburg, several reports of which has caused political storms targeting at the ruling BJP.

Bauri further alleged that the chief minister is only concerned about him and his family and their welfare. “The place Bhognadih from where he said there was no demographic change has been the main centre of the Santhal revolt of 1855. I want to ask him how only seven Santhal families were left there out of 40,000. Where did they vanish if there are no demographic changes?,” he further said.
The Jharkhand chief minister had stated that the BJP is sowing discord between Hindu and Muslims communities, especially targeting the Jharkhand election in charge and Assam chief minister Himanta Biswa Sarma, who is known for several alleged communal remarks.
