In the Telangana Assembly Elections, the Huzurabad Assembly Constituency has witnessed a dramatic turn of events where BRS”s Padi Kaushik Reddy won the election with a commanding lead of 80,333 votes. In this closely monitored election, his rival, BJP candidate Eatala Rajender, came second with 63,460 votes.
For 119 constituencies, Telangana State Assembly was held on November 30. Padi Kaushik Reddy of the BRS, Vodithala Pranav of the Congress, and Eatala Rajender of the BJP were the main competitors in this election, in addition to a number of independent candidates. In 2023, Huzurabad Assembly Constituency recorded an impressive 80.62 per cent voter turnout for the Telangana Assembly elections.
Notably, Eatala Rajender had previously clinched victory in the Huzurabad by-election in 2021, defeating Gellu Srinivasa Yadav of the TRS with a margin of 23,855 votes. But in the most recent elections, the roles were reversed when Padi Kaushik Reddy reclaimed the constituency for the BRS party. In the 2018 elections, Eatala Rajender then with the TRS won the seat with 104,840 votes, obtaining a sizable lead over Kaushik Reddy”s 43,719 votes. Similarly, 2014 elections has also witnessed Eatala Rajender”s victory securing 95,315 votes over Congress”s Kethiri Sudarshan Reddy who could gather only 57,037 votes.
