Union Minister Piyush Goyal Trolls Rahul Gandhi As Congress Loses Ground In Assembly Elections

Congress seems to be losing ground in Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, and Rajasthan as the people of these states made a verdict in favor of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) in the recently held assembly elections. What makes the Congress defeat even worse is that it happened after a strenuous election campaign where top bras of the party, including Rahul Gandhi, Priyanka Gandhi, and Mallikarjuna Kharge, explored their full might to attack the Narendra Modi-led union government.

Moreover, exit polls had predicted Congress assuming power in Chhattisgarh and Telangana.

Citing this, the Minister of Corporate Affairs of India and BJP leader Piyush Goyal  trolled Congress leader Rahul Gandhi. Goyal shared a video of Rahul saying, “Rajasthan main bhi sarkar ja rahe he, Chhattisgarh main be sarkar ja rahihen…” which means the governments of Rajasthan and Chhattisgarh have been ousted from power. Goyal indicated that Rahul”s words came true, with Congress facing setbacks in these states.

However, we don”t know on what occasion Rahul said these words. As vote counting progresses, the BJP has taken the lead in Madhya Pradesh and Rajasthan, winning 1,11 seats, respectively.

The party is leading with 155 and 106 seats in both of these states, respectively. In Chhattisgarh, the incumbent Congress has conceded ground to the BJP, which is leading in 49 seats in the state. In Telangana, Congress has taken the lead, winning two seats. They are leading with 65 seats, while their main rival, BRS, holds only 35 seats.

In Madhya Pradesh, Rajasthan, and Chhattisgarh, the Congress is trailing behind the BJP with 74 seats, 67 seats, and 38 seats, respectively.
