The party said that the BJP government has ravaged all sectors of the country by implementing its strong elitist Hindutva stance and corporate Cronyism, thus making the livelihood of the entire population of the nation extremely difficult, except for a handful of corporates and elite racists.

The statement added that the Muslim-Christian and Dalit-Tribal communities of India are living under extreme insecure conditions. It highlighted how the Modi government has been silent on the the “Christian genocide” that has been happening in Manipur for over a year, and how constitutional protection like reservation for the minority communities has been weakened. The party also pointed out that legislations denying the equality of the country”s citizens has become normalised in the country.

Taking a jibe at BJP”s “One Nation” manifesto, WFI said a totalitarian approach has been forced down upon the population of a country known for its diversity by imposing single culture and language.

In the statement, Kerala unit of WFI pointed out a long list of why the BJP should not be given another chance and crucial is the upcoming election. It pointed out that unemployment has reached a record high in history and poverty an suffering spiked greatly. It India has become a country with least media freedom in the world and added that India has been pushed down to the lowest level in all International indexes.

The Welfare party said free and fair election is under great challenge. It accused BJP of poaching leaders and workers of other parties to join BJP by threatening them with false cases. Welfare Party said BJP is misusing investigative agencies by setting them against non-BJP party leaders landing the latter in prison.

WFI said BJP could only be ousted by united efforts and asserted that all the secular democratic parties should come together to take down BJP from power at any cost. Expressing hope in INDIA bloc, Welfare Party Kerala said its decision to vote for the Indian National Congress comes from the fact that increased seat share will help the grand old party which is contesting from major number of seats in the INDI Alliance, which will have a greater influence for the alliance in whole. The party said it is significant for Congress to come as the single largest majority in the Parliament to oust BJP from power.
