The 69th National Film Award 2023 was held at Vigyan Bhavan in Delhi on Tuesday. President Droupadi Murmu conferred the award to the winners. Best actor award winners Alia Bhatt, Kriti Sanon, and Allu Arjun were present and received the award from the President.
Allu Arjun won the award for his iconic performance in the Telugu blockbuster, Pushpa: The Rise. The moment is historic, since he is the first actor in Telugu film industry to bag the National Award. Mr Arjun was accompanied by his wife Sneha Reddy for the ceremony.

Best Actor (Female) Award was shared by Alia Bhatt and Kriti Sanon for their remarkable performances in, Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s Gangubai Kathiawadi and Laxman Utekar’s Mimi respectively.

Ms Sanon reached Delhi with her parents to receive the award and Ms Bhatt was accompanied by actor-husband Ranbir Kapoor.

Similarly, Veteran actor Waheeda Rehman received the Dadasaheb Phalke Award, from the President for her contribution to the Indian cinema. Dadasaheb Phalke Award is regarded as the India’s highest honour in the field of Cinema.
Apart from them, winners like Pankaj Tripathi, R Madhavan, S. S. Rajamouli and many others graced the prestigious event.
The winner’s of 69th National Film Award were announced on August 24.
