Alia Bhatt Calls Aavesham A Favourite, Wants to Team Up With Fahadh Faasil
Who doesn’t love a pan-industry collaboration, especially when it includes two big stars from two big film industries in the country? During an interview with Brut India, Alia Bhatt revealed that she would love to work with Malayalam star Fahadh Faasil someday.
Alia recently made her debut at the Cannes Film Festival in France as one of the ambassadors of L’Oréal. During the interview, she shared that since she had worked with another Malayalam actor, Roshan Mathew, in Netflix’s dark comedy Darlings (2022), she would love to work with another Malayalam actor.

When asked about whom she would like to work with in the future, the actress praised Roshan. “There’s so many actors and there’s so much talent out there. I had the good fortune of working with Roshan Mathew on Darlings, who’s, of course, a wonderful actor, who’s done a lot of Malayalam content. But, is now also making waves in Hindi.”
To the surprise of fans, Alia revealed that action-comedy Aavesham (2024) was one of her favourite films and that she loved Fahadh’s performance.
“Fahad Faasil is someone I really admire, his work, and he’s such a fantastic actor. I think Aavesham was one of my favourite films. He was just unreal. So I would love to collaborate with him someday,” she said.
Notably, Fahadh is making his Hindi debut with Imtiaz Ali’s The Idiot of Istanbul alongside Triptii Dimri. No further details regarding the film are out yet.

Alia was last seen in Vasan Bala’s Jigra (2024), which, although it received good reviews, failed to make a mark at the box office. The actress is currently shooting for Alpha, YRF’s spy universe film, alongside Sharvari. She is also working on Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s Love & War with actor-husband Ranbir Kapoor and Vicky Kaushal.
