The epic science fiction film, tentatively titled AA22XA6, directed by Atlee, starring Allu Arjun, Deepika Padukone, has reportedly began shooting in Mumbai following extensive pre-production work. The schedule is expected to continue till the end of the month. 

Intense action sequences, large-scale stunts, and histrionic moments are part of the shooting schedule, reported Filmfare. It added that a special team was flown in from Los Angeles to monitor the action sequences.

According to Pinkvilla, the film is undergoing a shoot with Mrunal Thakur. While Deepika’s casting was officially announced by Atlee, the rumour mill suggests that five different actresses are also expected to feature. Out of these, Janhvi Kapoor is another name making the rounds. 

AA22xA6 is expected to be the most ambitious project in Indian cinema. In an announcement video, Atlee, Allu Arjun, and producer Kalanithi Maran were seen discussing the script with Hollywood VFX experts. 

Jos Fernandez, CEO and art director of Ironhead Studio, was one of the technicians. He has worked on Spider-Man: Homecoming, Captain America: Civil War, and Avengers: Age of Ultron. James Madigan, VFX supervisor for films like GI Joe: Retaliation and Iron Man 2, was also part of the team.

Meanwhile, Allu Arjun was last seen in the Sukumar film Pushpa: The Rise, the sequel to Pushpa, alongside Rashmika Mandanna and Fahadh Faasil.  

The actor is also in talks with Malayalam director Basil Joseph for a potential movie collaboration.
