Kollywood actor Karthi has officially apologised to Pawan Kalyan, the deputy Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh and Telugu actor, after he lashed out at the Tamil actor for his comment on the ongoing Tirupati Laddu issue.

After the deputy CM Pawan Kalyan expressed his displeasure over his comment, actor Karthi wrote an official apology in his X handle, which reads “Dear @PawanKalyan sir, with deep respects to you, I apologize for any unintended misunderstanding caused. As a humble devotee of Lord Venkateswara, I always hold our traditions dear. Best regards”

This issue arose on Monday, when actor Karthi attended a promotion event in Hyderabad. During the event, in a funny segment, the anchor presented him a few memes and one of which was about the laddu. Reacting to the meme, actor Karthi said “ippudu laddu gurinchi maatladakodadu (we should not talk about laddu now), it’s a sensitive topic manakoddadi (we don’t want).”

Reacting to the actor’s comment Pawan Kalyan expressed his displeasure saying that “Don’t you ever dare to say that.” The deputy CM when questioned about actor Karthi’s comment at the Vijayawada temple said “You must think 100 times before speaking about the Tirupati Laddu. This is not a funny topic. I respect you as actor, but you must stop making such comments against Sanathana Dharma.”

Pawan Kalyan recently addressed the alleged use of adulterated ghee and has assured the public that the government is committed to take stringent actions over the issue. And he also emphasised the need to form a Sanatana Dharma Rakshana Board stating that “May be the time has come to constitute a ‘Sanatana Dharma Rakshana Board’ at a National level to look into all the issues related to temples in entire Bharath.”
