After Radhika And Khusbu, Ramya Krishnan Stands In Support Of Roja

Actor-Minister Roja is expanding her support circle as actress Ramya Krishnan joins her side on Saturday after Radhika and Khushbu, defending TDP leader B Satyanarayana’s arrest.

As senior actresses stretches aid for Ms Roja against the ‘character assassinating’ comments by Mr Satynarayana, the TDP supporters are countering it as a political ploy and is motivated by the minister through personal phone calls.

Telugu Desam Party senior leader Bandaru Satyanarayana Murthy was arrested on Monday night after making alleged derogatory remarks against Andhra Pradesh Tourism Minister and former actor K Roja. He was arrested from Parawada mandal in the Anakapalli district by the Guntur police.

K Roja, who lead the departments of Tourism, Culture, and Youth Advancement under YS Jagan Mohan Reddy’s ministry, filed complaint against the TDP leader as he made several allegations and derogatory comments against her. He was arrested after a high drama in which the police were forced to break the door to catch the accused. The 68-year-old was charged with various provisions of Indian Penal Code including Section 153 A, 354 A, 503, and 504 among others, reported India Today, and granted bail later.

Ramya Krishnan, an Indian actress who appears in Tamil, Telugu, Kannada, Malayalam, and Hindi language movies, on Saturday took to her official X (formerly Twitter) handle and posted a selfie video supporting Ms Roja. In the video, Ms Krishnan is also seen requesting the Prime Minister Narendra Modi to take necessary action against the TDP leader to curb such disrespectful treatment against women ‘’no matter who ever he is’’. ‘’We cannot and should not excuse this’’, the actress added.

Earlier, actress Radhika Sarath Kumar also come out expressing her support to Ms Roja. She condemned the statements of the TDP leader and said that, ‘’men doing cheap politics, being cowardly labelling women to their convenience, need to stop and grow up’’.

Senior actress and politician Khushbu Sundar proclaimed that she is ready to fight for Ms Roja until the accused issues a political apology.
