Ajay Devgn Returns As Amay Patnaik In 'Raid 2' (Image-X/PanoramaMovies)
Ajay Devgn returns as an IRS officer Amay Patnaik in the sequel of Raid. Directed by Rajkumar Gupta and produced by Bhushan Kumar, Kumar Mangat Pathak, Abhishek Pathak, and Krishna Kumar, Raid 2 will be hitting theaters in 2025.
Having stormed the box office with the engaging narrative garnering more than Rs. 100 crores, Ajay Devgn is set to retrun to his acclaimed role Amay, an IRS officer. With Vaani Kapoor as the female lead, Ritesh Deshmukh as the antagonist, and Rajat Kapoor in a pivotal role, the film promises an adrenaline-filled ride for audiences.

Announcing the sequel and its release date, the makers on X wrote, “Bringing back the action, intensity, and suspense your way! Raid 2 releasing on 21st February 2025!”

The prequel was a blockbuster and ended with Amay’s transfer to another city. Extensively shot in Delhi and Lucknow, the sequel is expected to be an adventurous ride of the office on unveiling the truth.
The first part was based on the real-life income-tax raid, the longest raid in Indian history, conducted by the officers of the IT department on Sardar Inder Singh in the 1980s which distinguished itself from others for lasting three days and two nights.

Raid 2 is produced by Bhushan Kumar, Kumar Mangat Pathak, Abhishek Pathak, and Krishan Kumar. The film is presented by Gulshan Kumar and T-Series and is a Panorama Studios production. The film was earlier slated to release on November 15 this year.
