Actor Malaika Arora's Father Anil Arora Dies By Suicide

In a tragic incident, actor, model and celebrity judge Malaika Arora‘s father Anil Arora died by suicide after he jumped from his residence building in Bandra, Mumbai.  The police is at the place currently and an investigation is on.

The Mumbai police has confirmed the death of Anil Arora and a police team is currently present at the spot. As per the NDTV report, the incident took place around 9 am today. Bollywood actress Malaika Arora’s ex-husband Arbaaz Khan has reached her residence.

The police are yet to confirm the reason behind the suicide. According to the officials, the actress was not at home when her father took the extreme step.

Anil Arora, who hails from Punjab, had worked with the Merchant Navy.

Malaika Arora’s parents divorced when she was 11 years old. She and her younger sister, Amrit Rao, who was 6 at the time, were raised by their mother, Joyce Polycarp.

Anil Arora had usually stayed away from the public eye and was occasionally seen with his daughters during family outings.

Last year, Malaika along with her mother was spotted outside a Mumbai hospital, where Anil Arora was admitted for an unknown reason.

It was just a few years ago, that Malaika has revealed that her parents were divorced when she was just 11 years old. The Arora sisters were then raised by their mother, who relocated to Thane from Chembur after the separation. The actress has shared that her childhood was wonderful but was not easy.

Malaika Arora was previously married to actor Arbaaz Khan and has a son, Arhaan Khan. Her younger sister Amrita Arora, has been married to businessman Shakeel Ladak since 2009.
