After Woman Shared Video Alleging Sexual Assault On Bus, Youth Commits Suicide In Kozhikode
Kozhikode, Kerala: Deepak, a native of Govindapuram, Kozhikode, has committed suicide heartbroken after a woman shared a video alleging sexual harassment on a bus. The 41-year-old man, who was working as a sales manager in Govindapuram, was found hanging inside his house on Sunday morning.
The deceased man’s family and friends have raised serious allegations against the woman who shared a video of Deepak, alleging sexual assault. The woman had posted a selfie video showing the man standing next to her in the video.
The relatives of Deepak told the media that he did not behave badly with the girl and, hence, he has been very depressed since the video was released online. Kozhikode police have registered an unnatural death case in connection with the incident.
Meanwhile, the woman, who posted Deepak’s video online, has issued a clarification video, asserting that she shared the video only after assuring that the deceased man deliberately made sexual advances towards her on the bus.
The video titled ‘sexual boundary violation is not a mistake, it is a behavioural warning sign,’ the woman said who has the right to touch a woman without consent. She said she wanted to inform his family and friends about the incident, adding that only then he would stop such acts.
