Madrasa Girl In Kannauj Raped And Found On Neighbor's Rooftop
A madrasa student missing for two days in Kannauj was found unconscious on the rooftop of a neighbour’s house. The girl’s father alleged that a youth named Deepu had held his daughter captive and raped her. The Police have taken the accused into custody.
During questioning, Deepu said that he was in a relationship with the girl and that they got married on May 3. Reportedly, the girl was found with red dye applied on her feet, and she was wearing anklets.
The 11-year-old girl, a madrassa student and a resident of a village in the Manimau outpost area, was studying and staying for the past year at a madrasa in the Hammalipura locality. The girl went missing from the hostel on Sunday. On Tuesday, she was found lying unconscious near a water tank on the rooftop of a neighboring house. Following this, the family informed the police, who admitted her to the district hospital.
The girl’s family has accused neighbor Deepu of luring her and raped her. According to the family, on the morning of Sunday around 8 a.m., she went out of the madrasa to buy something to eat or drink but did not return.
Later on Tuesday afternoon around 1:30 p.m., the girl called her mother and reportedly said, “I have been tied up, please save me. From where I am, I can see the window of the house in front of the madrasa,”.
The family then started searching nearby houses. After much effort, they found her tied up and unconscious on the rooftop of Deepu.
The police recovered the girl tied on the rooftop, and a video of it also exists. Soon, she was taken to the district hospital. On the way, when the girl regained consciousness, she alleged that Deepu, his brother Sanjeev, and their friend Dheeraj had kidnapped her, held her captive, forced her to drink alcohol mixed in a cold drink, and subsequently raped her.
Police have registered a case against the accused under the POCSO Act and taken Deepu into custody. Station in-charge Jitendra Pratap Singh said that based on the family’s complaint, a case has been filed and the accused is being questioned.
