Alia Bhatt has an update on her upcoming action film Jigra. Followed by the cool and intriguing poster drop yesterday, the actress has something to say about its teaser release.

With the Vasan Bala directorial JigraAlia has been building the audience’s expectations high. With back-to-back posters, the actress has already captured the audience’s attention to witness her intense avatar.

This time with an even more intense poster, transcending the burning fury, the actress announced, “JIGRA TEASER TRAILER OUT ON 8TH SEPTEMBER”. Hinting at her character’s stronghold behind her courage the Gangubai Kathiawadi actress on X wrote “Dum hai…Satya mein dum hai!” (There is power…the truth has power!)

The announcement came with two complementary posters describing her character. In the posters, the actress radiates her determination through her intense stare. The backdrop hints at a festive mode, but the reddish tint transmits the rage and the fury of the character.

Co-produced by Alia and Karan Johar, Jigra is set to release on October 11. The announcement video of the film teased that the film is about a tale of a sister’s love for her brother and how she would do anything to protect him. Starring alongside Alia, is Vedang Raina as the brother in the film.

The actress was last seen in Karan Johar’s Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani along with Ranveer Singh. She also has YRF’s Alpha with Sharvari and Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s Love & War in the pipeline. Meanwhile, Vedang Raina made his acting debut in Netflix’s The Archies, directed by Zoya Akhtar.
