The mind-blowing surviving thriller is back! The Japanese thriller is entering Netflix again with yet another season of twists and turns. Netflix has officially announced the third season of Alice in Borderland. The threequel is all set to offer you a seat edge thriller this September.
The new installment of the Netflix series will continue to offer the unanswered question of the previous season. Announcing the same, the streaming giant unveiled a puzzling first look and some glimpses of what awaits fans next.

Netflix has been teasing the audience with its 2025 launch plans with its Next on Netflix 2025 teasers. And now it’s time for the Japanese contents to create a buzz on the internet. The recent teaser of the streaming platform hints at various yet-to-be-announced series. It also includes the anticipated third installment of the franchise Alice in Borderland.
In an X post, Netflix wrote, “ALICE IN BORDERLAND SEASON 3 COMING 2025.” The first-look poster of the series features a chilling view of the Joker’s image set against the backdrop of a dystopian city, which adds an extra layer of fear to the suspenseful atmosphere.
Netflix also changed its X bio to “Alice In Borderland September 2025.” The director of the series, Shinsuke Sato, also confirmed the same through his Instagram bio.

Netflix also provided an updated synopsis for the new season. It read, “The Joker card has now appeared, marking the triumphant return of Alice in Borderland. Fans can expect an adrenaline-fueled rollercoaster ride as the series continues to explore profound themes of humanity, sacrifice and the pursuit of a meaningful existence.”

So, let me remind you of the twist where the second season ended with. Ending the final game, the players Arisu and Usagi awoke and found themselves in a hospital, where Arisu learned that a meteor had devastated Tokyo, sending the survivors to Borderland. Unfortunately, none of them retained memories of their experiences there, yet Arisu and Usagi were still drawn to each other. However, not everything is as it seems. As the camera pans across the hospital grounds, a table of playing cards is blown away—except for the Joker card.
