The 30-year-old actress further alleged that Ajaz told her his religion allows four marriages, and thus, he would marry her even though he was already married. A case has been registered under the relevant sections of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita, and an investigation is now being launched by the Charkop police.
The fresh allegations have added fuel to the ongoing House Arrest controversy.
What is the House Arrest controversy?
House Arrest is a reality show that airs on the Ullu app, an OTT platform frequently criticised for pushing the boundaries of adult content.
In a format reminiscent of Bigg Boss, contestants are locked inside a luxurious villa and subjected to various emotionally and physically demanding tasks. The show promises intense drama, unexpected twists and explosive confrontations. The participants include Aabha Paul, Humera Shaikh, Sarika Salunkhe, Muskaan Agarwal and Rahul Bhoj.
House Arrest sparked outrage after a viral clip from the show surfaced online. In the video, Ajaz, the host, who called himself the “daddy of the house”, was seen asking female contestants to try and perform different sex positions with the male contestants. While a female contestant stated that she had no idea about it, Ajaz pressured her to perform the task, while others were seen cheering and hooting.
The video sparked outrage, with many viewers labelling the show as “disturbing”, “degrading”, and “unwatchable”. The outrage also amplified calls for stricter regulation of OTT content to increase the accountability of streaming platforms.

In 2020, during the COVID-19 lockdown, he was arrested for allegedly making communal remarks on Facebook about Muslims being blamed for various incidents.
In 2016, model Aishwarya Choubey filed a complaint accusing Ajaz of sending her lewd messages and an objectionable photo. While an FIR was registered, he denied the claims and said he was being targeted.
