
SS Rajamouli Confirms Nani's Presence In His Dream Project On Mahabharata (Image-X/UnanimousProds)
Actor Nani’s rugged avatar as Arjun Sarkar, a horrific cop in HIT 3, is the current sensation on the internet. Nani is all set to unveil the cruel world of Sailesh Kolanu’s directorial, filled with serial killings and investigations, on May 1. The upcoming action entertainer, HIT: The Third Case, has brought an exciting update about director SS Rajamouli’s ambitious project based on the Indian epic Mahabharata.
Amidst the buzz, the recent promotional event of HIT 3 in Hyderabad has confirmed Nani’s presence in Rajamouli’s dream project based on the Mahabharata. During the event, the RRR director confirmed Nani’s casting in his dream project, saying, “Definitely, Nani will be part of my film based on Mahabharata.”

The “Rajamouli moment” in HIT 3
The actor-director duo is well known for their fantasy action film, Eega (2012). Nani has always expressed his special admiration for the legendary director. During the film promotion, Nani even said that he used to watch the FDFS of his films at Prasad’s IMAX and see if Rajamouli and his family came to watch the movie. He said, “I used to anxiously wait for Rajamouli sir’s response.”
His admiration for the director has even been reflected in his upcoming film HIT 3. As a surprising announcement, Nani revealed that there’s a “Rajamouli moment” in HIT 3. “Sailesh and I used to refer to the ‘Rajamouli moment’ whenever we discussed the scene,” said the actor.
Rajamouli’s Mahabharata
The Baahubali director, known for his grand vision of bringing life to different eras on screen, has often spoken about his desire to adapt the Indian epic Mahabharata into a multi-part film series. Even though his dream to bring the epic to the big screens is yet to take shape, his confirmation of Nani’s involvement in the project has now become the first official casting of the project.

Jointly produced by Nani’s Wall Poster Cinema and Unanimous Productions, the third installment of the HIT franchise stars Nani and Srinidhi Shetty in the lead roles, alongside Adil Pala, Rao Ramesh, Brahmaji, and Maganti Srinath.
The crime thriller universe of HIT includes the three installments, namely HIT: The First Case (2020), HIT: The Second Case (2022), and HIT: The Third Case. The title is an acronym for “Homicide Intervention Team.”
