
‘Dies Irae’ First Look Out: Pranav Mohanlal Stars In Rahul Sadasivan’s Next Horror Thriller
The first look poster of ‘Dies Irae’, a gripping horror thriller directed and written by Rahul Sadasivan and starring Pranav Mohanlal, has been officially unveiled.
The film is jointly produced by Chakravarthy Ramachandra and S. Sashikanth under the banners of Night Shift Studios and YNOT Studios.
After the resounding success of Bramayugam, both critically and commercially, Dies Irae marks the return of director Rahul Sadasivan in collaboration with the same creative team and Night Shift Studios. The film aims to push the boundaries of the horror-thriller genre even further.

Unlike Bramayugam, which was presented in a striking black-and-white format, Dies Irae is expected to offer a distinctly new visual and emotional experience.
Though the plot details have been tightly kept under wraps, the film carries the tagline “The Day of Wrath,” hinting at an intense and dramatic narrative.

Currently in post-production, filming for Dies Irae was wrapped up on April 29, 2025. The team promises that this project will not only elevate Indian horror cinema on a global scale but also offer a completely fresh storytelling approach and a visually rich atmosphere.

The technical crew of Dies Irae includes Shehnad Jalal ISC as the cinematographer and Jyotish Shankar handling production design. The film’s music is composed by Christo Xavier, with Shafique Mohammad Ali serving as the editor.
Jayadevan Chakkadath is in charge of sound design, while M. R. Rajakrishnan handles sound mixing. Ronex Xavier leads the makeup department, and Kalai Kingson is the stunt coordinator. Melvy J is the costume designer, with Aesthetic Kunjamma designing the publicity materials.
Arjun Kallingal captured the stills, and Liju Prabhakar worked as the colourist. The visual effects are by Digibricks, and Aroma Mohan serves as the production controller. Sabari is the film’s PRO, and the music is released under the Night Shift Records label.
