
‘Feminichi Fathima’ Trailer Out: Dulquer’s Wayfarer, Fasil Muhammed & Thamar Unite For A Powerful Social Drama
The trailer of Malayalam social drama Feminichi Fathima, directed by Fasil Muhammed, was released on Monday, offering a powerful glimpse into a story rooted in courage, identity, and social change.
The film, which was screened at the 29th International Film Festival of Kerala (IFFK), is now set for a theatrical release on October 10 under Dulquer Salmaan’s Wayfarer Films banner.
Set in Ponnani, Feminichi Fathima follows the journey of Fathima, a young woman from a conservative community who dares to challenge entrenched traditions and reclaim her voice. The film portrays her struggle for education, dignity, and freedom against the weight of cultural expectations.

The trailer, released on YouTube, has already begun to draw attention on social media for its hard-hitting dialogues that reflect the resilience of women standing up against societal constraints.
Shamla Hamza leads the cast as Fathima, supported by Kumar Sunil, Viji Viswanath, Praseetha, Raji R Unnsi, Babitha Basheer, and Fasil Muhammed himself in key roles.
The film is produced by Thamar K.V., Sudheesh Scaria, and Fasil Muhammed, under the banner Thamar Presents, in association with Afd Cinemas, with Dulquer Salmaan’s Wayfarer Films presenting the theatrical release.
On the technical front, Feminichi Fathima brings together a strong creative team — Prince Francis as cinematographer, Shiyad Khabeer composing the background score, and Vinay John, Aromal R, and Vimal John leading the sound design. The screenplay and editing are handled by Fasil Muhammed, while Renjith Nair has cut the evocative trailer.
